Christian McCaffrey is an American professional football player who has represented as a running back, the Carolina Panthers (2017–Present), in the NFL (National Football League). He had been picked 8th overall by the team in the 1st round of the 2017 NFL Draft. For his performances in the league, he had been named in the ‘Second-Team All-Pro’ in 2018, the ‘First-Team All-Pro’ in 2019, and the ‘Pro Bowl’ (NFL‘s annual ‘All-Star Game’) in 2019.

In his high school days, he had broken several Colorado state high school records such as ‘Most Career Total Touchdowns’ (141), ‘Most Career All-Purpose Yards’ (8,845), and ‘Most Career Touchdown Receptions’ (47). He had been named the ‘Gatorade Football Player of the Year for Colorado’ in both 2012 and 2013.

A multi-skilled athlete, he also used to compete in track-and-field events at his high school. In his sophomore year, he had recorded a stellar time of 10.75 seconds in the 100-meter dash event at the Mountain Vista Boulder Invitational.

In his sophomore year (2015) at Stanford University, his stellar performances had led him to be named the ‘AP College Football Player of the Year’, a ‘Consensus All-American’, and the ‘Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year’. He had also won the ‘Paul Hornung Award’, the ‘Jet Award’, and was a finalist for the prestigious ‘Heisman Trophy.

As of February 2021, he had held the NFL record of being the only running back to have 2 seasons with 100 or more receptions.

In September 2021, Christian strained his hamstring in the Week 3 matchup with the Houston Texans.
